Fictional Character, Fictional Life

If I could be any fictional character, I would be Phoebe from Friends. I love her weirdness and her perception of the world, but those aren’t the reasons I chose her. Phoebe is incredibly good at being happy, even when terrible things happen to her. Her mother committed suicide and she had to live on the streets for a while but she isn’t bitter about it. She doesn’t complain all the time or walk around moping for her whole life. She remains a genuinely happy person despite all of her struggles. She doesn’t waste all her time wondering why these terrible things had to happen to her of all people; instead she just lives her life happily with her best friends in New York City. I do have to say, though, I also want to be her because it would be so interesting to have all of her thoughts. Based on the things she actually says out loud, it would be fascinating to see what else she thinks.
