Plastics- Jamie Smith

The one piece of advice that has stuck with me for a long time is to remember that worrying is useless. My dad has always said that worrying serves no purpose, and he is a lot more relaxed than anyone else in our family, and even than most people I know. My dad always points out that if there is nothing you can do about it, there’s no point in worrying because whatever happens will happen whether or not you let it affect you. If there is something you can do about it, then worrying is useless because you should be doing what you can to handle the situation and if you’re not, you have no grounds to be worried about the outcome. This advice has helped  me become for relaxed and comfortable in general. For example, if I get a bad grade I try not to worry because I know it will all turn out fine in the end. It’s hard advice to follow, but the better I get at not worrying the less stressed I become, which has a positive effect on my life.
