Stress - Charlie Blondell
Stress can break people. It can turn a hardworking, determined student into one that can barely stand looking at their assignments. It can make students want to sleep all of it away or just forget about their responsibilities completely. It can even promote something much worse: failure. So how does one escape the inevitable curse? It's not simple. You can't just run away from all of your problems. Well, running may not be such a bad idea. I exercise frequently, which takes away a lot of built up tension I have in my body. That's one way I can defeat the detrimental demon. I also try to take a step back and look at every individual piece of the pie, instead of taking it all in one bite. By sitting down and saying, "This is what I have to do first, and this is how I'm going to do it, and this is what I have to do next, etc..." is a lot more effective than saying "I have to do this, this, this, and this" (sometimes it's not smart to look at the big picture). If you take a minute to realize that everyone has problems. Even worse than that? Everyone has to deal with them (crazy, right?). You're not the only one with this stress. So go workout, come home and take a shower, sit down, pull out your binders, take a deep breath, and get started.
