Assighnment 9 - Derrick Thomas Jr

I never believe war is a necessary thing, but rather see it as a last result that should be avoided. I personally disdain most forms of conflict (a good debate is healthy every once and a while) but seeing as how humans, along with most forms of life, have a natural and animalistic tendency for violence it’s unavoidable. Once civilization and communities formed in our early history conflict between them arose as a necessity to ensure the safety and wellbeing of said communities. Many conflicts arose through simple miscommunications in early civilization, but with better technology and greater understanding of others cultures the issue of dominance and lack of tolerance and understanding lead to more conflicts. I understand that I can’t change the way people view the world or open their minds but in mine the only way to avoid such catastrophic and devastating wars is to be open to reach mutually beneficial agreements and try to look for a third option to solve conflicts.
