1) Why do you believe in what you believe in? (Can be in any aspect of one's life)
2) Why do we find certain things "attractive"?
3) Is conflict inevitable?
I'd like to speak on subject 1. The topic of beliefs can be broken down into a couple of areas, in my opinion. Of course the first one that comes to mind is religion. I was born and raised a Disciple of Christ, mainly because of my grandfather's past of being a minister. Yes, I do believe in a god. Not due to what my grandfather or family has wanted for me, but because this is what I have come to accept as faith in my life. Do I believe in a Christian god? Not necessarily. I believe in the idea of a deity, an unobservable, ungraspable natural being keeping the universe together. Something has to be the reason behind the"well-maintained" world we know. Some would call it science, and I cannot disagree with that. I believe there are other beliefs outside of religion. Morality. You don't have to go to mass to believe in good. To believe in right vs. wrong doesn't have to involve "real" faith. One can be an honest and benevolent human without believing in something that will eventually "repay" them.
