Asgn 21: Harrison Inocencio

At this moment, somewhere in the universe, a star is exploding in a populated solar system, where a unique species has evolved and thrived on a planet much like earth. These beings are bipedal, have clear skin, and unlike us they've used the power of the sun and what we call photosynthesis to survive. However, they are intelligent, and like us they have developed a language, culture, and even technology that allows them to travel between planets, using a special fuel unique to their planet, much like our oil but ten times as potent. When the start exploded, it was like a nuclear blast, covering every square inch of their home world. Of course they knew about hydrogen aging, and already knew the age of their sun, that a super nova was close. They had attempted to prepare, sending out expeditions in search of new homes to every corner of the galaxy, built protective shelters to try and shield their people from the blast, anything and everything to try and preserve their species. But it was not enough, and their planet burned, leaving only their expeditions travelling through the blackness of space, slowing running out of power and light, searching in vain for a sign of salvation.
