assignment 23: david chen

My music preferences change often and range from all different sorts of genres. Although i do listen to music quite regularly, I don't resort to playlists for certain occasions. As I am currently drawing a blank on what songs to post and have read some posts for classic rock, I'll make mine based on my favorite rock songs from the past. If you have some time and you're feeling rock than this is for you.

More than a feeling by Boston- I think it's a pretty classic rock song. It retains some good background music throughout and the vocals are quite nice. It's also relaxing and and sets a nice mood to start off the playlist with.

TNT by ACDC- This is a quick, fast-paced song that brings up the tempo of the playlist. It gets the blood flowing and excites the listener. Thus, this makes for a good song to build up to slower tempo ones later.

Livin' on a prayer by Bon Jovi- I really like the vocals and the guitar music in this. It is a good music to peak on the playlist with and it'll die down for other songs later on. Also if you're having any questions or issues this song would really relate because you're essentially living on a prayer.

Every rose has its thorn by Poison- This song is a nice change from the intense music of the last two songs. Its quite calm and builds up gradually. The lyrics have some nice deeper meaning that one could find if they look for it. It settles down quite nicely for the final song.

The Final Countdown by Europe- What a fitting name for the finale. It sounds crisp and smooth and has elongated background sounds. These contrast nicely with the bold lyrics and electric guitar sounds. This also is a motivating song so ending the playlist will be a nice way to get productive after.
