I love music, and I firmly believe the world would be different without music in it, but this isn't about the impacts of music on society. This is about the perfect playlist. I have quite a few playlists which I listen to, but the one I listen to the most is probably my morning playlist I listen to in the shower at 5:00 in the morning.
This Song is Not About a Girl by Flume
This is a perfect song to slowly wake up to. It has a nice beat that starts slow and progresses throughout the song to a more upbeat feel. There aren't too many words to sing along to, which is nice as well.
Viva La Vida by Coldplay
This is truly a classic song for me. First of all, I love the use of all the string instruments in this song. It makes the song powerful and unique from many other songs. Secondly, the lyrics to the song are meaningful telling the story of a King who used to rule his people but now sweeps the streets he used to own. It is humbling to listen to every morning.
1901 by Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
After listening to a relatively depressing song, we come back to another upbeat song that gets your day going.
Drop The Game by Flume
I continue with the upbeat songs to keep me awake with Drop The Game. It has a nice beat just like my previous Flume song on the playlist, but there are more words to sing to.
Lovely Day by Bill Withers
This is my favorite song on the playlist and I save the best for last. This song is the best thing possible to wake up to. I sort of look forward to hearing this when I wake up. If you sing along to it, you tell yourself it is going to be a lovely day countless times. This sets your mood for the day and I am confident it makes my entire day better.
