assignment 22 Derrick Thomas

If I could be a fictional character, I would no doubt be a member of the Avengers from Marvel comics. I would be a superhero who had enhanced skills and equipment to help me fight off “bad guys”. The skills, might be strength, hearing, sight or any other that worked for the good. I would choose any of these characters because they usually fight real people who are hurting people in our society.  They have learned to how to use equipment (shield, suit ec). to enhance their work. They maintain their power and use it for good. All of them, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Spider-Man, etc were once natural humans and by some happenstance or freak accident, were endued with some ability. They learned how to make something that could have been a negative and made it positive. They learned methods to out wit and take down enemies in society.  I like the fact that they were original human beings, unlike mutants. They also like to remain anonymous so people would not flock to them. This helped them to remain humble.
