Like it or not, television is a huge part of today's society. I personally love TV, and watch it all the time. Some of my favorite shows include Prison Break, Dexter, the Walking Dead, Workaholics, South Park, and on and on and on. This sounds kind of bad, but for some reason I like to watch violent TV shows. This doesn't make me a violent person or make me have violent thoughts by any means, it's just more interesting to watch.
Watching TV is the easiest way to kill hours of time, this much is true. But as for it being a productive use of your time, I wouldn't say so. You could be reading or exercising or helping someone or doing yardwork or pretty much anything else to be using your time more productively. But at this point I'm being hypocritical because I spend way too much time watching TV, and never really do anything productive unless I absolutely have to.
