Assignment 3: Come to the dark side, Luke
The idea of there being an absolute good and an absolute evil isn't what you typically see it as in the movies, with an all righteous protagonist and the terrifyingly evil antagonist. Honestly, I feel like that's not how the real world works at all. The majority of people just go about their business everyday, not contemplating on whether or not everything they do is "evil" or "good", the average person just kind of does what needs to be done. Despite this, there are always the extremes of these situations that are present. There are going to be people such as Adolf Hitler and Osama Bin Laden who are seemingly pure evil, while at the same time there are (hopefully) always going to be those people such as Ghandi who just want to make the world a better place. Does that mean that these two sides are at constant battle with each other? Not necessarily. Both will continue to exist to keep balance in the world, not to battle the other side.In today's world, the evil seems to be overwhelming the good, with so many news stories of school shootings and mass murders, and it makes you wonder how real people can possess the mindset to do such horrid things. And honestly, that's what really scares me.
