Come to the dark side, Luke

"Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb."- Dark Helmet. However true or false this quote really is, good and evil are not always set in stone. It is human nature to have both good and bad inside of them. Nobody can truly be good, and nobody can truly be evil. Every human has qualities of both. If we want to reference Star Wars, consider the fact that Darth Vader sacrificed himself to save his son, an act of good that came out of one who would be viewed as evil. If we want to reference Harry Potter, consider the fact that Harry A) repeatedly breaks the rules of Hogwarts and B) doesn't always know how to control his power(I'm talking about when he uses the Sectumsempra spell on Malfoy and nearly kills him). However, we see Harry as good, the protagonist. Sirius Black understands. He tells Harry that "sometimes bad things happen to good people." Sirius gets it. Good and evil are merely a perception of what we normally do in our everyday life. For instance, I could eat a nice, juicy steak right deliberately in front of a vegan and I may think it is good because of how amazing the steak tastes; but the vegan would perceive this action as evil, or bad. An easy example would be terrorism, especially in the case of suicide bombers. Suicide bombers believe they are doing good for their people and their cause, however we Americans perceive those actions as evil. So good and evil are not set in stone, they can be played with, and every human has qualities of both.
