iwrite- C McMullin

For me, technology is my life. My smartphone is resting in my pocket, my tablet is laying next to me, I'm staring at my flat screen television, and charging my handheld game, all while I write this on my laptop. Everything I do has technology involved in one way or another, whether it actually assists the task, or entertains me. This trend in our society, while it does make us more efficient, it also takes away from what makes us human: our face to face relationships. While yes, you can be tweeting out to all your friends, you're not actually building up those relationships. Studies show that just a couple decades ago people had an average of 6 close friends. That number is now 2. Our society's reliance on technology, while more efficient and entertaining, is making us all anti-social, locking ourselves in dark rooms, staring at bright little screens.
