I do not believe in an absolute good and evil. There's a story to every side. Everyone has their own idea of what's good or bad depending on the moral values they have developed. And because there is no absolute good and evil that everyone can agree on, everything is somewhat in a gray area.
Robin Hood is depicted as a heroic outlaw in English folklore who stole money from the rich and greedy to give to the poor. His actions suggest an altruistic nature for the people in poverty. He sees the rich as selfish evil beings who he had to take revenge upon for the state of the poor. But that doesn't really make him "good" and the higher-classed people as completely "evil". The people he stole from saw him simply as an "evil" outlaw. Depending on what perspective you look at the story from, and depending on your personal moral values, your "good" and "evil" changes. Is he a bad person doing good things? Or a good person doing bad things? Therefore, Robin Hood is in a gray area.
I don't think that there is a clear cut division where people could be called either one or the other. There are people who are doing what looks like "evil" from where we are standing but "good" from what they're standing. It's hard to say that one side is right and the other is wrong. I think that the idea of good vs. evil should exist for people to develop their own moral values, but, as a whole, there's not really a side that should be eliminated. I don't even think that it would be possible to eliminate one side once and for all. All people think differently. It's hard to eliminate something that doesn't have a definite form or shape. Evil is what an individual sees as wrong and good is what an individual sees as right. There are groups of individuals with the same idea of good and evil but that may be because they were raised with similar backgrounds or were taught the same thing.
The movies we see here in the U.S. almost always have a "good" and a "bad" that we understand, but, in our world, there isn't truly a tangible line between the two sides. There are bad actions and good actions, but no one can truly be labeled as one or the other.
