Asgn. 9: What is it good for? Harrison I.

In my opinion war is something that people should work to avoid at all costs. The physical loss of human lives over an item or even an idea, is not a fair trade, especially for those dying out on the battlefield who half the time don't even understand what they're fighting for. However, the blood of billions still stains the folds of our history, and war and violence have existed ever since man first learned how to kill one another. Even in the modern day, we see war across the planet, and even in the entertainment industry, in the form of violent video games that rake in billions of dollars a year. So apparently war does have appeal in the human mind. It is because of this appeal, that war has always and probably will continue to be a sought after solution to conflicts. Whenever there is not enough to go around, whether it be too many people, the greed of those in power, or the simple confliction of ideas so apart that they cannot exist together, they will always turn to the fastest solution, and the one also most facilitated by their emotions, war.
