Assignment 9- Jacob Young

I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but war is inevitable. It is human nature to have differing cultures and beliefs than others, and I think that it is the right thing to do if push comes to shove and you have to fight for what you believe in. However, that does not mean that just because one little thing is different between two bodies they should declare war on one another. War in and of itself is a vague term. By war do we mean any sort of skirmish or fight or battle? Or do we mean a country formally declaring war on another under the guidelines of war laid out by the Geneva Convention and the United Nations? The situation in the Middle East, as soon as we thought that things were finally getting better, that view was immediately struck down with the killing of 4 Rabbis in a sanctuary in Jerusalem very recently. War is inevitable. It is human nature, plain and simple.
