Assignment 9: What is it good for? - Alex Cooper

This topic has no true answer. I guess there could be a time to go to war if there all other options have been tried and nothing else worked. I don’t think it is ever moral but it could be considered the lesser of the two evils. But if war could put an end to whatever problems caused it then it is obviously beneficial. I think countries to have responsibilities to go to war to end conflicts. More lives could be lost if the conflict were to last forever because they don’t want to start a war than if they were to start the war and solve the problem. Right now I guess I do not see any alternatives that would be more effective because if there were then countries would be utilizing them in order to avoid the horrors of going to war. War, sadly, is sometimes unavoidable and something the world has to live with in order to keep peace.
