I believe that there is a time for war because sometimes just talking or other actions don't work or aren't enough so the only choice left is war. for example, the war between the USA and the Taliban can not be solved with just diplomacy because the Taliban want violence and death.so we must go to the extreme of war to be able to combat the Taliban. war in the end is just the lesser of two evils. if we don't use deadly force against the Taliban then terrorists attacks will come and innocent civilians will die.so either way there will be death. countries have the responsibility to go to war when their citizens are in danger and diplomacy has not resolved the issue. also when treaties require that you come to the aid of another country, then you must do so.alternatives such as diplomacy and compromise should be pursued before war but if they don't succeed then it might be necessary to go to war.diplomacy and compromise can sometimes be more effective depending on the situation. war should be avoided at all costs, but if there aren't any other options then war is necessary.
