In the case of a Zombie Apocalypse my plan is pretty basic and practical.  I would gather up my family, load all of our backpacking/ camping gear into our car (including our canoe and kayak), and go to the nearest Sportsman's Warehouse, where we would buy lots of hunting equipment and trail food.  Then we would drive to my Grandparent's house, pick them up, and load all of the gear into their RV.  Then we would drive to the east coast and choose a primitive island, which we would obtain a boat and go out to.  In all zombie stories, they never are able to control machinery, so out on our island we could be confidently safe from them.  We would set up a camp in the woods on the island and try to leave no trace of ourselves on the shores.  From there we could direct our friends and family to find us and hopefully bring more gear to stay on the island, where we could hunt and fish to survive.
