Assignment 14: Flying Turkeys - James Apo
My thanksgivings are pretty typical. I either go to visit my dad for Thanksgiving or stay in town to celebrate it with my mom's side of the family. Since my dad moved back to Hawaii, I have been staying in Kentucky as of late, but I will never forget the thanksgivings in Minnesota I used to have. Personally, I like a baked turkey better than a fried one, so that is one reason I liked the thanksgiving meals up north better than down south. Corn smothered with butter and rice potatoes with gravy also added on to the awesomeness, and the stuffing was to die for. Now don't get me wrong, I like Lexington, but I do really like traveling and I find it awesome to get to leave it all on the breaks. I cannot say I have a memory that stands out, but the past couple of years I have been going black Friday shopping late Thursday night early Friday morning, and that has been fun, despite the crowded nature of the mall. Overall, thanksgiving is a great holiday, but it is just an appetizer to me, as Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year.
