Brave Little Mower

Assignment 12

I woke up that morning feeling like I had an empty tank.  When I checked it was full but my frame was brittle after the cold night, and I just couldn't shake that cough; all the dust and leaves in my bag had me feeling wheezy.  I sat around in the dim light of dawn waiting for something to happen.  Finally the garage door opened around 10 after the dog was already outside and the chickens were let out too.  Maybe I would be able to get out and about, go to the front lawn and watch the cars go by!  Sadly no.  A chicken walked up to me to peck me.  It was a feeling as equally painful as sitting there while they pooped all over my garage (including me).  After a couple hours someone came out the back door, letting the dog out.  That drove the chickens off of me finally.  The man who had just come out walked right up to me... and past me.  He grabbed a bike, and then I had to listen to the terrible noise of that annoying tire pump until he left on his fully functional bike.  When he returned it was almost dark and he woke up me up by rudely bumping into me as he put the bike away.  The garage door closed and I was wide awake in the cold dark, until I fell asleep exhausted and listening to that obnoxious dog barking.
